Dr. Nirmal Chandra Padhan is an experienced Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology with over 14 years of clinical experience, specializing in the care of newborns requiring advanced medical support. He is recognized for his calm approach, clinical expertise, and dedication to providing comprehensive neonatal intensive care.
He completed his MBBS from VIMSAR, Burla, and MD in Paediatrics from Pt. JNM Medical College, Raipur. He further pursued specialized training in Neonatology at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad, strengthening his expertise in managing premature newborns and complex neonatal conditions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Padhan has worked at reputed healthcare institutions across New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bilaspur, and Raigarh. As Lead Consultant Neonatologist at Sishu Bhawan Hospital, Bilaspur, he oversaw an 80-bedded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), gaining extensive experience in managing critically ill newborns.
His clinical expertise includes caring for premature babies, managing neonatal sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory distress syndrome, and persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn. He is also experienced in conventional and high-frequency ventilation, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula therapy, surfactant administration, and neonatal exchange transfusions.
A life member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) and the National Neonatology Forum (NNF), Dr. Padhan remains committed to continuous learning and evidence-based care. Through his compassionate approach and dedication to neonatal medicine, he strives to support newborns and their families during critical stages of care.
